Licensing¶
Last updated: 30 January 2026
This page explains how licensing works for code and content produced by Nautomation Prime.
1. Public GitHub Repositories¶
All public repositories published under the Nautomation Prime GitHub organisation are licenced under:
GNU General Public Licence v3.0 (GPL‑3.0)¶
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Network automation utilities
- Python tools
- Documentation examples tied to those repos
GPL‑3.0 requires:
- Source code availability
- Preservation of original licence terms
- Copyleft distribution of derivative works
2. Code Examples on This Website¶
Unless otherwise stated, any code snippets or examples on this website are licenced under the same licence as the repository they relate to, typically GPL‑3.0.
If a snippet stands alone with no linked repository, GPL‑3.0 applies by default.
3. Bespoke Client Code¶
For paid or commissioned work, Nautomation Prime provides code under one of the following:
- MIT Licence (permissive)
- Apache Licence 2.0 (permissive, includes patent protection)
The licence is chosen with the client during the project.
4. Brand Assets¶
All logos, branding, imagery, and visual design elements are:
Copyright © Nautomation Prime
They are not licenced under GPL, MIT, or Apache licences and may not be reused without written permission.
