Before you invest in any automation, you need to know two things:

  1. Which processes are actually worth automating?
  2. What's the realistic return on that investment?

Guessing gets expensive. Automating the wrong thing wastes budget and demoralises the team. This assessment gives you the data to make an informed decision — before any development work begins.


What You Get

A short, focused engagement designed to answer the key question: where will automation deliver the fastest, most meaningful impact for your team?

The Process:

  1. Scoping Call (45 minutes) — A remote call with Christopher to understand your environment, your team's current workload, and which manual processes are causing the most pain or risk.

  2. Background Analysis (2–3 business days) — We review the information gathered and build realistic time-savings and ROI estimates for each process.

  3. Written Report — Delivered as a PDF within 3–5 business days of the scoping call. Clear, actionable, and suitable for sharing with budget holders.


What the Report Covers

For each process assessed, the report includes:

  • Current state description — how long it takes, how often it runs, how many engineers are involved
  • Automation feasibility score — how straightforward is this to automate given your environment?
  • Estimated time savings — realistic hours saved per month, not inflated figures
  • Annual cost equivalent — based on an indicative engineer day rate (you can substitute your own)
  • Risk assessment — what could go wrong if this process continues to be manual?
  • Recommended automation approach — what tool, what package, what level of effort
  • Priority ranking — which to tackle first based on ROI, feasibility, and risk reduction

Who This Is For

This assessment is a good fit if:

  • You're confident automation would help but can't get internal sign-off without a business case
  • You've been asked to "look into automation" and need somewhere credible to start
  • You want an outside perspective on whether your most painful manual process is actually automatable
  • You're considering a larger automation investment and want to de-risk the decision

It is not a sales pitch for a larger engagement. The report will tell you honestly if a process isn't worth automating. If you choose to commission a package afterwards, the assessment cost is deducted from the package price.


What Happens After

The report is yours to use however you see fit. You can:

  • Use it to build an internal business case
  • Share it with your leadership team to justify budget
  • Commission one of our SMB packages directly (assessment fee deducted)
  • Take it elsewhere — you own the report outright
